Why young graduates need to say “no” to low-paying jobs?
If you are a fresh graduate & fed up with looking for an opportunity in private sector & now willing to join for any position or salary then STOP. Joining a low-paying job won’t serve any good purpose in your life.
You need to go back & do your homework because:
~ you will hardly learn anything doing a job that erodes you from within. It will eat away your confidence.
~ being at the lowest rung of the organization, your communication skills won’t improve (which are must to be at the helm of any organization)
~ working hard day in & day out for peanuts should be avoided in any case. It will pinch you forever joining a job that even fails to take care of your basic needs.
Alternatively, take some time. Decide what you really want to do in your life. Equip yourself with tech know how & skills within next 1 year. 1 year of extreme hard-working will save you from exploitation. You will be able to get a lateral-entry into private sector with better salary & allowances.
If you are smart & hard-working then you must not fall prey to “low-paying jobs & the inherent exploitation”. You must try something else. Don’t bother about things that may go wrong. The end will be worth all the efforts.
